Throughout the 2019/2020 Global pandemic, lockdowns have forced people to remain within their homes and limit their social and environmental interactions. This artwork seeks to transform a simple natural item, a seed cone, into a cultural work that communicates the beauty and fragility of nature. This work develops on the existing concept of Ephemeral and Land Art and draws from the visual appeal of work by artists such as James Brunt, Gerry Weise and Andy Goldsworthy.
